It also discusses the role of manga as a fantasy for both the artist and the readers. Dragon Ball follows a structure in which the villain fulfils what is lacking in the good protagonist. In analysing them independently, the main character portrays good and the other characters portray evil; however, the story as a whole is well-balanced. The storyline of Dragon Ball often revolves around villains fighting together as allies.
