内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to investigate recovery of exercise performance and physiological parameters from fatigue due to 1 min. high-intensity exercise (HIE). Seven male University athletes participated in the study. They repeated HIE 2 times (the first HIE (T1) and the second HIE (T2)) at 3 different intervals (15 min (R15), 30 min (R30), and 60 min (R60)), and power outputs, EMGs, and blood lactate concentrations during T1 and T2 were measured. At R15, the total power output during T2 was significantly lower than that during T1, but not at R30 and R60. Power outputs in the initial stages of T2 showed significant decrease with all recovery intervals. Power outputs in the last stages in T2, on the other hand, showed significant increases after R30 and R60, but not after R15. He values of integrated EMGs were similar between T1 and T2, but tended to be lower during T2 than during T1 at R30 and R60. There were no significant differences in blood lactate concentrations between T1 and T2 and among the recovery conditions. These results suggested that more than 30 min. is needed for the muscle to recover sufficiently from fatigue due to HIE, and that decreases in power output in the initial stages of T2 are due to insufficient recovery of anaerobic energy and/or muscular contraction mechanism. Power outputs in the last stages of T2 are considered to have increased by improvement in the aerobic energy supply system after 30 min. or longer recovery-time. |
